Leicester City F.C. player Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah Vardy, 41, is said to have trademarked the phrase “Wagatha Christie”, in a bid to prevent others from making money using the term.
Becky’s reported achievement comes after she lost out in her High Court libel battle against footballer Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen, 37, in 2022.
According to The Sun, Vardy secured the rights to the pop culture phrase, which first circulated on social media in October 2019 when Rooney accused the former of selling stories about her.
Becky reportedly used a friend’s company, London Entertainment Inc Ltd, to apply for the trademark eight months ago, shortly after the verdict went against her in court.
The television personality’s reported trademark will ensure others who want to use the phrase commercially will have to get permission from her first.

They will then pay Rebekah the proceeds if she allows the phrase to be used.
The trademark covers broadcasting and clothing, alongside cosmetics and drinks.
Express.co.uk has contacted Rebekah Vardy’s representative for comment.
The WAG is said to have made the move to “take back control” after her loss in court.

Coleen’s victory left Rebekah having to pay 90 per cent of her rival’s legal fees.
A source told the publication: “This trademark is Becky’s two fingers to Coleen and all the misery associated with ‘Wagatha Christie’. Becky is shrewd and knew people would try to cash in on the phrase.
“She now owns the UK trademark and would consider expanding it to other territories if she thought it was needed.
“If someone wants to print the logo on a mug, for example, they would be infringing the trademark if they didn’t ask permission.
“Or if someone wanted to use the phrase to promote a documentary or a film, they would have to ask to use it as they would be exploiting the phrase for monetary gain.”
The row between the two WAGs erupted when Coleen accused Rebekah of selling stories about her and her former Manchester United ace husband Wayne.
Coleen tried to find out who was responsible by planting false stories in social media accounts.
Her methods led comedian Dan Atkinson to tweet “Coleen Rooney: Wagatha Christie” when the scandal broke in 2019.
Despite the outcome in court, Rebekah has vehemently denied selling stories about Coleen to the press, telling TalkTV: “I will say until I’m blue in the face — I didn’t do it.”
