Rebekah Vardy snaps back at ‘boring’ Coleen Rooney after she breaks silence on Wagatha saga

Rebekah Vardy has broken her silence after Coleen Rooney gave a sensational tell all interview to Vogue magazine about the Wagatha Christie saga, which saw the pair take each other on in court.

Coleen and Rebekah famously did battle in court last year after Coleen realised someone was leaking information from her social media accounts to the press.

Believing Rebekah to be the culprit Coleen shared a public post naming the star and accusing her of leaking the information – something Rebekah always strongly denied.

Keen to defend her name, Rebekah then sued Coleen for defamation – but ultimately lost the case.

Yet hot on the heels of Coleen opening up about her side of the story with fashion mag Vogue, Rebekah has hit out at her rival as she branded the star “boring” for continuing to push the subject.

“Boring now isn’t it?” She told a fan who had commented on one of her Instagram posts.

In a second comment she also doubled down on her thoughts as she added: “Don’t give me publicity, but please give me publicity” alongside a string of laughing emojis.

The Wagatha Christie case first stemmed from Coleen’s desire to learn who was leaking information about her to the press.

In order to track down the culprit, she posted three fake stories on her Instagram account and limited the reach of each story to determine who had viewed it and in doing so catch who was leaking it, when the fake stories ultimately ended up in the press.

Turning into her very own detective, Coleen soon determined that only one person had viewed the fake stories, and that was Rebekah, something which prompted her to post online that she had rumbled the culprit, before identifying her as fellow WAG Vardy.

In response, Rebekah hit back at Coleen and accused her of defamation while insisting her account had been hacked and she knew nothing about the case.

Unwilling to back down on her claims of innocence, Rebekah took things one step further and proceeded to sue Coleen for libel, and took the star to court in order to clear her name.

Initially, Rebekah won at a preliminary stage, but the case was later transferred to the High Court, where a judge ruled in Coleen’s favour after determining that her claims had been “substantially true.”
