Watch the music video for ‘You & I’ by Jaffa Moore
Jaffa Moore, who is the son of late 007 actor Sir Roger Moore, has recalled getting the heartbreaking phone call that confirmed his father’s death in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.
He explained how “lucky” he felt to have seen his father just days before he died when the James Bond star agreed to appear in his music video for his single, You and I.
“I got on a plane the next day and he passed two days afterwards,” he said. “I was in Los Angeles and I was the last to really find out because of the timezone.
Jaffa’s music video for single You and I, which is in aid of UNICEF, features a whole host of major celebrities and A-listers.
“And one of the characters in the video called me up and I thought, ‘That’s very strange, why is she calling me up at seven in the morning,” Jaffa explained.
“And she said, ‘Oh my god, darling, haven’t you switched on the news?’ And then that was it.”
Just a couple of days before, Jaffa was able to capture touching footage of his father in his final days whilst filming for his music video.
The musician admitted he becomes “choked up” at the clip, as it turned out to be the last time they saw eachother.
“In the last days of his life, I actually went to see him when he was doing chemo and that was the last day I actually saw him – in the video,” Jaffa said.

“So every time I see it I choke up a little and get a ball in my throat.
“And I think, ‘How lucky am I to have that footage of him on the last day when I last saw him.’”
The musician also spoke about collaborating with the late Glee actress Naya Rivera on the heartfelt track for his album Photograph.
“Of course afterwards, with Naya passing, this was a tragedy for her family and also, you know, I just wanted her to be part of this campaign,” he expressed.
Naya was declared missing after she failed to return from a boating excursion on Lake Piru near her home in California on July 8, 2020.
After her rented boat with 4-year-old son, Josey Dorsey, was located and a search was carried out, she was presumed dead the next day.
Her body was later found on July 13, 2020, and the star was pronounced dead from accidental drowning at the age of 33.
“It would be great to be sitting with her now,” Jaffa said. “But I know they’re both looking down on us.”
Jaffa Moore’s new album ‘Photograph’ featuring single ‘You and I’ Ft Naya Rivera is available now.
