Royal insiders are said to be 'furious' at the string of claims that Prince William ignored his brother's texts as the late Queen lay dying in Balmoral last year.
Author Omid Scobie shared revelations about Princes William and Harry’sfeud during a time of personal grief for the Royal Family in his new book Endgame which is due out on November 28.
According to The Mirror, the book claims: "Harry sent a text message to his brother asking how he and Kate planned to get to Scotland and whether they could travel together. No response."
But now royal courtiers are said to be furious over the claims with an insider adding that "nothing is off limits."
A Royal insider told the Mirror: "It appears no matter what happens behind closed doors, even in a time of such pain and grief, that where the Royal Family are concerned it will one day emerge.
"Nothing is off limits with William and Kate appearing to be this author's number one target. It only takes a few months for the knives to come out again and the wounds to be opened up."
OK! has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.
In an excerpt of his latest book, Mr Scobie alleges that Prince Harry was 'kept in the dark' about the Queen's health in the hours before she died.
Mr Scobie, who previously released a biography on the Sussexes titled Finding Freedom, said that Harry and Meghan Markle were also unaware of the Royal Family's preparations for the Queen's final hours.
The long-serving and much-loved Monarch passed away "peacefully" on September 8, 2022, aged 96.
In September 2022, Harry and Meghan visited the UK for various engagements. During their visit, it was announced by the palace that Queen Elizabeth had been advised to rest by her doctors.
In Omid's new book Endgame, the royal author said Harry and his wife had "no idea" about what was to come.
An extract from the book said: "By the next morning, the Sussexes had no idea that Buckingham Palace was already planning for the Queen’s final hours and the first days of the monarchy’s new era — until the duke’s phone started ringing. An unknown number. He usually ignored those."
Omid claims in Endgame that Meghan had urged her husband to answer his phone, which he did "just before it stopped".
The Royal author said: "Harry hadn’t spoken to his father much that year, but this was not the time for any father-and-son tension. Charles told him he and Camilla were about to leave Dumfries House for Balmoral, where Princess Anne was already by the Queen’s side. He told Harry to make his way to Scotland immediately."
In the hours before the Queen's death was announced to the world, members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, scrambled to Balmoral to be by her side, but Harry noticeably arrived hours later on his own plane.
In his memoir, Prince Harry revealed that the Queen's death was announced whilst his jet was still in the air, and that he only discovered the tragic news when he checked BBC News on landing.
The brother's relationship has been in a downward spiral since 2019, and has only worsened following the release of the Duke of Sussex's book Spare.
Omid's book Endgame, set to be fully released later this month, is described on Amazon as a deep dive into the current state of the British monarchy.
The description adds: "An unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family."
