Coronation viewers have taken to social media to voice their concerns about those who were attendance at Westminster Abbey.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Coronation ceremony kicked off at Westminster Abbey at 11am, but several guests arrived more than two hours in advance – Emma Thompson and Lionel Richie included.
The ceremony itself was then two hours long, with many now pointing out that some guests will have had to wait hours to go to the loo.
As the service came to an end, one viewer tweeted: “The queue for the toilets inside Westminster Abbey will be huge in a few minutes time.”
“Queues at the toilets are going to be epic after this. I’m guessing at least half the congregation must be bursting by now,” said another.
Another person who watched the ceremony from home went on: “Why does nobody in the #coronation need the toilet? I've been three times so far.”
“I can’t help thinking what happens if you need the loo while your inside Westminster abbey during all this. I mean some folks were arriving at 7:30am. Do they have toilets? Are they allowed to move? I’d of peed my pants about an hour ago!!” quipped another.
One person who’s thought to have possibly left the ceremony to go to the loo is five year old Prince Louis.
The adorable young royal was seen sitting front and centre alongside his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as his sister Princess Charlotte, eight – but at one point Louis couldn’t be seen.
Upon his return, Coronation viewers speculated that his brief absence was likely to have been a toilet break.
“Prince Louis is back It must have been a toilet break,” said one.
Applauding him for lasting as long as he did without needing a wee, someone else wrote: “Prince Louis has left I suspect for a toilet break having been the mother of a lively 5 year old boy I think he did remarkably well to last as long as he did.”
“WHERE IS LOUIS?! Toilet? Under the chair?” said another who noted his absence.
Elsewhere Louis stole the show as he was seen yawning as his grandfather’s service was underway.
He was also spotted having a chat with his big sister Charlotte as he gestured at something in the church.
