Rylan Clark updated his 1.6 million Instagram followers as co-star Phillip Schofield came clean about his affair yesterday.
The presenter posted to his Story, flashing the peace sign in a selfie taken in the back of a car.
The 34-year-old didn’t include any words with his picture, which was shared as his ITV colleague, 61, released a statement about his “unwise, but not illegal” relationship with a male This Morning employee while he was married.
With a slight smile on his face, Rylan looked down at the camera while dressed in an unbuttoned white shirt.
He followed up with a topless shot just hour later, in which he wrote simply: “Night x.”
Rylan has been a part of the This Morning family since 2013, appearing on the programme regularly.
Phillip meanwhile released a statement, admitting to the affair and resigning from ITV.
He said: “I am painfully conscious that I have lied to my employers at ITV, to my colleagues and friends, to my agents, to the media and therefore the public and most importantly of all to my family.
“I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife.”

While a statement from ITV said that the broadcaster feels “badly let down”.
“We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield,” the spokesperson said.
“The relationships we have with those we work with are based on trust.
“Phillip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges were untrue and we feel badly let down.”
It comes as Rylan announced he would be taking a break from his BBC Radio 2 show on the same day Phillip quit This Morning last weekend.
“I am off to do some other bits and bobs so I’m not going to be here for a fair few weeks,” he stated to listeners.
According to Ladbrokes, the star is at 3/1 odds to replace the latter on the This Morning sofa next to Holly Willoughby.
Alison Hammond remains the front-runner with Rylan joining Dermot O’Leary among the favourites.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
