Sam Thompson has been quizzed by best pal Pete Wicks on why he wasn’t invited to his Made In Chelsea co-star and friendJamie Laing’s stag do and recent nuptials.
MIC veteran Jamie, 34, wed now-wife Sophie Habboo, 29, in a low-key wedding ceremony in Chelsea on 14 April, with the pair going on to host a bigger wedding in Spain next month.
Several of their nearest and dearest were in attendance on their special day earlier this month, whereSophie sported a stunning short off-the-shoulder dress, but some of Jamie’s TV friends were absent – 30 year old Sam included.
Many MIC viewers know Jamie and Sam sparked up a close friendship while on the show together, causing many to question why he wasn’t there on his big day with Sophie as well ashis stag do celebrations.
In light of his absence, TOWIE favourite Pete quizzed Sam on the matter on their podcast and questioned if the pair had fallen out.
Pete grilled Sam: “How was [the wedding] because we've seen lovely pictures of them getting married in this beautiful ceremony in Chelsea, you know, all suited and booted – black and white images with those old school sunglasses on, walking down the street really f**king nice. How was it? Was it good?"
Sam then interjected and insisted that, while he wasn’t there to celebrate with them in Chelsea, he’s going tothe pair’s “proper wedding” in Spain next month.
“Have you fallen out?” Pete further questioned.
Standing firm on the fact he’s going to the Sophie and Jamie’s second nuptials, Sam replied: “No because unlike you we are mates I'm going to the wedding. I don't actually understand how this is even a story – although quite cool there was a story because I'm never in the press so it was quite nice. It was like, 'Sam Thompson andSpencer Matthews shun wedding'."
While Sam says he wasn’t fazed about missing the registry office wedding, he did admit he had a “problem” with not being invited to Jamie’s stag do in March.
"I'll tell you,” he said. "There's two things here; first of all I'm actually going to the wedding which is going to be sick. Second of all, wasn't invited to the stag do – that is a problem. I genuinely thought I was gonna go," Sam laughed.
The 30 year old then went on to recall discussing Jamie's stag do with his friend after calling him to congratulate him on his engagement to Sophie.
“I called him afterwards and was like: 'Mate this is so cool, where we going for the stag',” Sam told Pete.
"And he was going: 'Mate the stag's gonna be sick we might do Miami,' he was like: 'We're gonna do so awesome stuff and I'll let you know when we go' and it turns out I saw it on Instagram.”
Sam went on to quip that he “has a bee in his bonnet” over it all as he told Pete he’s going to pull Jamie up on it.
