Monday's Love Island final saw Jess Harding and Sammy Root crowned series champs, however not everyone is convinced that the pair have the potential for a long-lasting relationship.
Speaking exclusively to OK! , relationship expert and co-founder of dating app So Syncd, Louella Alderson, has revealed why she doesn't believe that Sammy and Jess will last after arriving back to the UK with their new-found fame.
She explained: "There's a chance Sammy could get the ick with Jess after the villa. Sammy has said too many times that Jess isn't his type and he wasn't physically attracted to her. The way Sammy said this felt quite nasty at the time.
"While there doesn't necessarily need to be instant physical chemistry, as attraction may develop as you get to know someone more, it could be a red flag for Jess outside the villa.
"Sammy has been known to be quite flirtatious with other girls and has got to know most new bombshells.
"Him being attracted to other women could become too much of a temptation for him and this could be the nail in the coffin for their post-villa relationship."
And asked about any potential game-playing from the pair, she continued: "Jess is also genuine and it feels like she's in it for the long run.
Even though Sammy has been unpopular with the public, Jess hasn't wavered in her feelings for him. The only time she has questioned things is when Sammy has been chasing other women.
"She's not a doormat, but she stands by Sammy and reminds him of the connection they have. However, the jury is still out on Sammy's intentions."
Louella then discussed whether there's any fakeness of game-playing on Sammy's part, telling us: "There's a chance that Sammy is faking his feelings for Jess. He has been voted in the bottom three in almost every vote, either by himself or with his partner.
"It’s clear Jess has carried him to the final with her popularity. In his first few weeks, Sammy explored connections with different girls but when he found out Jess was popular with the public, he was quick to couple up with her again.
"This type of move felt strategic and indicated Sammy might not be in it for the long run. However, in the last couple of weeks, since Jess and Sammy became exclusive, Sammy has been more into her, so time will tell."
