Sarah Ferguson has some THOUGHTS on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!
The Duchess of York sat down with People on Wednesday to promote her new novel, A Most Intriguing Lady, and in the process, she had to address her opinions on another royal author: the Duke of Sussex, of course! When asked what she thinks of the couple amid their issues with the royal family over the last couple of years (including the latest Frogmore Cottage eviction notice), Fergie was as polite as ever, saying:
“I don’t believe that any single person has the right to judge another person. I’m not in a position myself to make any judgments. I have been judged all my life, and I have no judgment on the Sussexes.”
Whoa! Well said! She’s one of the few royals not leaning into the drama, and we love to see it!
As a grandmother to her daughter Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie‘s children, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife decided to look at the situation from her late pal Princess Diana’s perspective, noting:
“I think that Diana would be incredibly proud of her grandchildren. And not just the Sussex grandchildren, but children.”
Aw! Very sweet! Meghan and Harry are the proud parents to Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, while the Prince of Wales and Princess Catherine share Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. While the brothers have been embroiled in a heated feud since Harry decided to step back from his royal duties in 2020, it’s nice to hear from a relative that they’re both doing right by their kiddos in their own ways!
It’s also not too surprising Sarah would have such a positive outlook on the Archewell founders. The Sussexes reportedly have an “unbreakable bond” with Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank. Seems like the connection spans to Harry’s aunt, too! Thoughts?! Sound OFF (below)!
