See the "Dress from an Old Movie" Jennifer Lopez Wore for Her Vegas Wedding to Ben Affleck

ICYMI, earlier this weekend, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married. Seriously.

The couple tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas after obtaining a wedding license on Saturday (TMZ broke the story, reporting that the pair had filed for the license in their full legal names, Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez). In a Sunday night edition of her On the JLo newsletter, Jen confirmed the news, sharing some wedding details ~AND PICTURES~ with her fans.

“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” she wrote, before delving into her and Ben’s wedding story. “Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”

Jen went on to share other details about the wedding, including the fact that she and Ben “barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight” where the staff “graciously stayed open late a few minutes” and even let them snap some pics in a pink Cadillac convertible that was “evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).”

Very importantly, Jen also shared a first look at the dress she wore for her walk down the aisle—a gorgeous gown with a high neckline that she described as “a dress from an old movie.”

“We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” she wrote. “…In the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined.”

And just in case the wedding news doesn’t feel real enough yet, she then signed the newsletter “Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”
