Shawn Mendes is feeling generous.
The 24-year-old “Stitches” pop star is contributing his song “Something Big” to the soundtrack of the forthcoming animated movie Butterfly Tale, and it will entail crossing paths with a Disney star.

Released back in 2014, “Something Big” landed on his debut album Handwritten and was a fan favorite after he found breakout success with “Life of the Party.”
Variety confirmed that Shawn would be appearing on the soundtrack. His old song will be appearing alongside new releases from the likes of Johnny Orlando and Jennifer Lee Dupuy.

It remains to be seen when Shawn will be unleashing new music. He teased that he’d been working on a project in July 2022 when he announced the cancellation of his Wonder Tour.
More recently, he was seen on a hike with a label exec. Were they talking about music while getting some exercise in? We’ll have to wait and see!
