On Monday, March 27, three children and three adults were shot dead at a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tenn. The 28-year-old suspect, a transgender woman who had no previous criminal record, was shot and killed by police. On the heels of yet another fatal school shooting, many in entertainment reacted with sadness and rage. After Tennessee senator Marsha Blackburn said she was “heartbroken” and ready to “assist,” Sheryl Crowe replied, “If you are ready to assist, please pass sensible gun laws so that the children of Tennessee and America at large might attend school without risk of being gunned down.”
