Sinead O’Connor filmed her new flat and seemed happy to move back to London
Sinéad O’Connor had specific instructions for her kids in the event of her death.
In a 2021 interview to promote her memoir Rememberings, the Irish singer-songwriter told People magazine that she told her children they must call her accountant before calling emergency services.
She said: “See, when the artists are dead, they’re much more valuable than when they’re alive. Tupac has released way more albums since he died than he ever did alive, so it’s kind of gross what record companies do.”
She continued: “That’s why I’ve always instructed my children since they were very small, ‘If your mother drops dead tomorrow before you call 911, call my accountant and make sure the record companies don’t start releasing my records and not telling you where the money is.”

Despite releasing 10 studio albums, Sinéad is best known for her 1990 cover of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U.
During the interview, she also spoke about her discomfort that Prnice’s discography was used commercially after he died in 2016.
She said: “One of the things that’s a great bugbear with me, I get very angry when I think of it, is the fact that they’re raping his vault.
“All musicians, we have songs that we really are embarrassed about that are crap. We don’t want anyone hearing them. Now this is a man who released every song he ever recorded, so if he went to the trouble of building a vault, which is a pretty strong thing to do, that means he really did not want these songs released. And I can’t stand that people are, as I put it, raping the vault.”

Sinéad had recently moved from Bray in South County Dublin to London where she had reportedly moved into a penthouse flat in Lambeth.
In her last video, which she posted to Twitter, she gave a tour of her new place and showed off her Martin Johnny Cash electro-acoustic guitar, announcing she was planning to write some more “tunes”.
She also apologised for the mess in her £3,000 rental and commented on the death of her son, saying: “Unfortunately, your kid passing away, it isn’t good for one’s body or mind.”
The Irish singer-songwriter died on Wednesday, leaving fans worldwide devastated.
Police were called to her home in London and found the star “unresponsive”. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and no medical cause for her death has been given at this time.
She is survived by her three children, Jake, 34, Roisin, 27, and Yeshua Bonadio, 16. Her son Shane died last year by suicide, aged just 17.
