Singer Delta Goodrem has announced the exciting news that she is engaged to her guitarist boyfriend Matthew Copley, as she shows off huge diamond ring with her followers.
The singer shared the news on Thursday, 21 September, alongside a loved-up photo with her future husband, who are currently soaking up the sun on holiday in Malta.
In the snap, the newly engaged couple are seen cuddling up giving eachother a romantic kiss as the sun sets in the background. Delta is seen wrapping both of her arms around her fiance as balances a wine glass in one hand.
The singer also gave her fans a glimpse of the proposal set up, which was complete with rose petals on the floor and a string quartet. She also gave a close up of the huge stunning diamond ring.
Delta sweetly captioned the snap: "My best friend asked me to marry him".
The newly-engaged couple were then flooded with congratulatory messages from supportive followers.
Married At First Sight's Domenica Calarco commented: "BIGGEST CONGRATS!!!", while Australian singer Amy Shark penend: "Congratulations!!!".
Another follower commented: "Now THAT’s something to sing about. Congratulations to you both. Marvellous Malta memory right there", while another said: "Yay!!!!!!! Congratulations to you both. The best way to end an incredible year!!!!! xxx"
The engagement news followed shortly after Delta wrapped up her European Hearts on the Run tour.
Before meeting her perfect match in Matthew, Delta had dated a number of famous faces including Nick Jonas and Brian McFadden.
Westlife star Brian McFadden dated the Australian singer and actress for seven years before ending their relationship in 2011.
Although Delta's previous relationships have played out in the public eye, she decided to keep her current relationship more private.
In a chat with InStyle Australia in 2018, the singer said: "I made a [choice] that I'm not even going to comment "yes" or "no" … I've said nothing for three or four years".
However she gave fans a glimpse into her relationship in February 2023 when she told Australian Womens Weekly: "He's my guitarist, I met him through music. 'It's incredible to be on stage with him because he's so talented. We really are a team. He's my best friend, he's kind and a beautiful human being."
Delta continued: "I'm very lucky. It's all very natural and I think that comes from a beautiful respect and love. I feel so grateful."
