Stacey Solomon was fighting back tears of laughter after her DIY Christmas decorations left her social media fans divided.
The BBC Sort Your Life Out star showed off her homemade giant Christmas bells made using space hoppers and bows. In a creative video, Stacey can be seen spray painting the once red balls gold before adding black shadows and the crimson bows, reports The Mirror.
The 34-year-old said the “easy” transformation had been inspired by the success of a similar decoration she made last year, when she turned balls into baubles. The Instagram video, shared with her 5.8 million followers, showed her new decoration at the door of Pickle Cottage, which she shares with husband Joe Swash and their five children.
I think they’re so cool,” she said in the caption, despite admitting, “They do look a bit like smiley faces on there own. But once they’re among the other Christmas stuff I think they’ll look more bell-ish.”

But while Stacey may have been happy with her creation, fans were a little less impressed, with some even branding it “s***”.
In a follow-up story, Stacey could be seen attempting to hold back the giggles. Addressing fans, she said: “I’ve woken up this morning to a lot of you messaging me saying ‘Stace, your Christmas bells are s***.
“I’m laughing because I thought they were really good, and I was like ‘yeah, smashed it again, made some amazing Christmas bells. And you lot are like ‘what is that Stacey, it’s s***’.
“It’s really tickled me.”

Stacey didn’t seem too disheartened by the reaction however. She went on to explain it was a “really good lesson”.
She continued: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, clearly, one. And two, not every craft is a winner. Not every craft looks amazing at the end of it.
“And loads of you say to me, ‘Stace if I made that it would look rubbish, why do you make everything look so nice?'”
Some customers warned Stacey the children could be tempted to throw the decorations around. While others simply mocked the star for the new piece.
“What on earth this has to be an epic fail,” one person wrote. While another added: “All I can see is massive smiley faces. took me a minute to realise they were bells.”
Stacey recently shared how she made a giant nutcracker decoration for Christmas. She used three buckets, guttering and pipe insulation to create the festive figurine.
