Jayde Adams, 37, arrived on the blue sofa on It Takes Two this evening alongside her Strictly Come Dancing professional partner Karen Hauer, 40. The comedian looked great in a two-piece purple suit, but had to take to Twitter after her BBC appearance to respond to weight shaming trolls online.
Don’t forget!
Jayde Adams
For this evening’s appearance on the BBC show, Jayde stunned in a cropped purple jacket, accompanied with matching straight trousers.
She wore a white blouse underneath her jacket, paired with white trousers, adding a casual element to her ensemble.
Some Twitter users took to the microblogging site during her appearance on the show.
Good_Moaning wrote: “#StrictlyComeDancing #ItTakesTwo 37 year old and there must be some strain on her heart.”
Jayde replied to the now-deleted tweet in view of her 39,400 followers with the simple message: “Your mum.”
After the person in question deleted the tweet, Jayde posted a screenshot of their message along with the warning: “Deleted, but I never reply to these without a screenshot @PostedThisThis.”
This was not the only message Jayde replied to with one social media user hitting out at the BBC for “promoting obesity”.
Francesisoiseca said: “Stop promoting, accepting and normalising obesity, @bbcstrictly. #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly #ItTakesTwo @jaydeadams.”
Jayde hit back: “Don’t forget to tag Amazon Prime, Netflix, ITV, BBC, Channel 5, Channel 4 and then every cinema the movie I’m in next year, is showing.”
The comedian also replied to fans who took the time out of their day to stick up for the star as well as complimenting her progress on Strictly.
CraigHazell said: “So many medical experts here on Twitter. Who knew?”
Jayde simply replied: “Thanks babes.”
BTuckerT37 added: “@JaydeAdams I hope you continue to smash Strictly. You really helped my confidence with the workshops I attended and you led. Thank you.”
Jayde, taken back by the heartfelt words, replied: “This is why I have the confidence to handle all the negative comments I get when I go on TV, because I know it’s helping somewhere! Yes babes.”
The comedian has hit back at negative comments she has received after the live shows.
Jayde showed her sharp wit in response, writing to one troll: “I’m dead sexy and successful though babes, so who gives a flying s***.”
Another criticised her inclusion on the show, with the comedian simply replying: “I’m also critically acclaimed, own my own property and always getting laid babe.”
Jayde and Karen are currently preparing for their fast-paced dance this weekend to Flashdance’s What A Feeling.
In the first week, Jayde broke down in tears after getting a standing ovation for her Samba to Dirrty by Christina Aguilera.
Motsi Mabuse, who stood after Jayde’s performance alongside Shirley Ballas, excitedly claimed: “Samba you’re in trouble, you’ve never met this woman!
“I haven’t seen that much attitude on week one – just fantastic!”
