Sylvester Stallone, 76, saddened many of his loyal following last month when it was reported that his wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, was filing for divorce after 25 years of marriage. However, all can be happy again as Sylvester’s representatives have told a US publication that the pair have reconciled and are “extremely happy”.
They are both extremely happy.
Sylvester Stallone rep
Sylvester and Jennifer have decided to “work out their differences” according to the Rocky star’s rep, just one month after Jennifer filed for divorce.
His representative told Page Six: “They decided to meet back up at home, where they talked and were able to work out their differences.
“They are both extremely happy.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Sylvester and Jennifer’s representatives for comment.
The US publication also claimed to confirm that the order of abatement was filed this week, which aims to put on hold the divorce proceedings.
Days prior to this apparent reconciliation, a court filing at a Palm Beach County Florida court revealed “that it is in the best interests of each of them individually, and more importantly collectively as a family, to resolve all issues attendant to the dissolution of their marriage in a dignified, amicable and private manner out-of-court”.
The Hollywood couple have three children together: daughters Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24 and Scarlet, 20.
Sylvester also has a son named Seargeoh, 43, with his ex partner Sasha Crook.
The former couple also had another son called Sage but he unfortunately died at the age of 36 in 2012.
Sylvester married Jennifer in May 1997, with Jennifer deciding to end the marriage last month.
On August 19, Jennifer filed for divorce, with the document alleging: “He engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets, which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estates.”
The Expendables star denied her allegations at the time.
Following the filing, Jennifer told the US publication People: “I’m sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone.
“While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30 year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters.
“I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward.”
Sylvester released a much shorter statement at the time, reading: “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
Sylvester himself alluded this week that the pair had reconciled as he shared a snap of the couple holding hands in view of his 15.2 million Instagram followers.
The pair could be seen walking away from the camera with their hands interlocked.
He captioned the heartwarming post: “Wonderful…”
Social media user Miamimh commented: “That’s terrific. Hopefully this means you two are working things out.”
