“The Wilds” Star Aidan Laprete Is Also a Badass Musician
Season two of “The Wilds” stirred up some serious drama that left us with dozens of questions — including, most importantly, what Henry was thinking behind those thick-rimmed hipster glasses. The second season features new characters, including Seth Novak (Alex Fitzalan), Kirin O’Connor (Charles Alexander), Rafael Garcia (Zack Calderon), Josh Herbert (Nicholas Coombe), Scotty Simms (Reed Shannon), Bo Leonard (Tanner Rook), Ivan Taylor (Miles Gutierrez-Riley), and Henry Tanaka, played by 20-year-old Aidan Laprete.
On the show, Laprete plays a moody teen with shaggy hair who likes to keep to himself (see: the headphones he always wears around his neck) and isn’t afraid to challenge other people’s beliefs. During season two, the tension between him and his stepbrother, Seth, mounts, as complicated alliances tear them apart. Off camera, Laprete is a talented musician who has performed at festivals across the country, appeared in music videos, and released his own album — a blend of alternative indie-pop and electronic influences.
Laprete has performed at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles and opened for artists such as Jack Johnson, and he has tour dates scheduled for 2022. Find out more about one of “The Wilds”‘s most mysterious new cast members — and his impressive music career — ahead.
