Tom Grennan praised for cheaper ticket prices amid cost of living crisis

Tom Grennan fans have been blown away by the ticket prices for his upcoming arena tour, with many commenting that they got two tickets for the price of one.

The 27-year-old footballer turned singer has spoken out about how ‘seriously’ he is taking the cost-of-living crisis, and that he worked hard with his team to keep his gig prices down.

Tom’s What Ifs & Maybes tour kicks off in Birmingham on March 10, before making its way around the country before his gig at the O2 Arena in London.

Standing tickets on the floor are selling for £46 at the O2 Arena, with the cheapest seats starting at £25. At Manchester’s AO Arena, the cheapest tickets currently available are listed for £30.

One fan took to Twitter to commend the artist on the low fees and said: ‘I haven’t seen enough people talking today about how brilliant the pricing of @Tom_Grennan’s arena tour is.

‘The cheapest I’ve seen for a mainstream radio played artist for a long time. Fair play.’

Grennan retweeted the supportive message and explained that he has ‘dismissed’ more expensive options such as VIP tickets, as the ‘pinch is real’ and he wishes more artists would do the same.

The Sky Blues singer shared: ‘Trust me we’ve worked hard to pull the cost of ticket down, and dismissed all VIP and platinum ticket options as it’s just bo***** in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis.

He added: ‘The pinch is real, and I take it very seriously. Others should take note. X’

Music lovers and artists alike praised Grennan for his consideration, including The Housemartins front man, Paul Heaton.

The Caravan of Love singer tweeted: ‘That’s brilliant Tom! Hopefully other artists of your generation will realise, like you have, that this is going to really hit people hard. All the best.’

Tom responded: ‘Nice one Paul. Thanks for showing the way’ as Paul has also slashed his ticket prices down to just £30 at the O2 Arena as well.
