The sentencing of Tory Lanez for shooting Megan Thee Stallion has been postponed to August 7.
Lanez, whose original name is Daystar Peterson, was convicted in December on three felony counts over shooting Megan in her foot during a drunken dispute after a pool party at Kylie Jenner‘s house in the Hollywood Hills on July 12, 2020.
Bullet fragments were removed from Megan’s feet by surgery.
After several postponements, Los Angeles Superior Court was scheduled to deliver sentencing in Lanez’ case this week.
On Tuesday, Judge David Herriford approved the defense counsel’s motion for a continuance and agreed to give them more time to prepare their sentencing recommendation.
Last month, he refused to grant Lanez’s request for a new trial in the case.
Prosecutors have sought a 13-year prison sentence for Lanez and deportation to his native Canada.
