When she lost a stone-and-a-half over five years ago, TV fashion guru Susannah Constantine was thrilled to be "as skinny as Trinny", her What Not To Wear co-host, Trinny Woodall.
Now Susannah, 60, has showcased her svelte frame in a black sporty swimsuit on her 112k Instagram followers, with them being quick to share plenty of positivity.
One commented that Susannah is "an inspiration" and asked when the lovely star will be back on small screens, with another, so convinced by how wonderful the star looks, that she needed the costume, too.
Susannah was speedy to respond that the clothing in question is from Boden and hers is a "size 16".
Fellow presenter and lifelong celebrity friend, Trinny, was first to comment, exclaiming "Fabulous!" with a trio of approving hand claps.
Susannah, who is known for her unashamedly honest approach to fashion choices, admitted that she chose her swimming style based on the long sleeves, and higher neckline, to help "hide chest wrinkles and crepey arms."
However, fans quickly supported the star's natural beauty, saying "If you're braving the cold water, I'd think that anything that makes it easier is welcome."
Plenty admired one distinguishing part of Susannah's body too. Her legs were a source of great admiration with "those legs…" followed by the fire emoji and "you've still got great pins" a running theme throughout the, nearly, 200 comments.
Luckily, the suit was for partaking in Susannah's favourite outdoor activity, cold water therapy, as opposed to developing a great tan – something that the star was quick to address in her post.
"Not ideal for cracking a tan. But great for chilly UK waters and my bird bath barrel in the garden."
Susannah's weight loss journey has been a slow but steady one. The star, who opened up about her alcohol recovery in 2021, spoke out at the time of losing her weight five years ago, saying: "In just three months I’ve lost a stone and a half of flab – a caterpillar-style transformation from a lardy, puffed-up size 16 to a curvy size 10/12.
"Trinny is a skinny size 8, it’s true, but her extra inches of height mean I’m definitely the lighter of the two," she laughed.
Susannah felt encouraged to start her healthy weight loss plan after seeing unflattering photos of herself, followed by comments made by her daughter, Cece, about her appearance, that hit a nerve.
Being hard on herself, she wrote at the time, "It was not at all flattering. Floaty frock or no floaty frock, I resembled a tug boat, a point pretty much confirmed by Trinny when we spoke. To be blunt, I was a fat hippo."
And recalling what her then 14-year-old daughter' said, she added, "I stepped into the bath one morning only to hear her remark through the door that I’d better let some water out first."
Signing up to the Famously Unfit Sport Relief challenge for TV spurred Susannah on and helped her hit her fitness and weight goals. During filming for the show, she got involved with the Saracens Women rugby team and rowed along the Thames River with champion rower James Cracknell.
