Matthew Perry’s death is being investigated by homicide detectives??
As far as we’ve been hearing so far, foul play has not once been suspected in the death in the late Friends actor’s death… So why exactly has the Los Angeles Police Department brought in their Robbery Homicide Division to take the lead on the investigation?? Well, it’s actually a really simple answer.

LAPD sources told TMZ on Tuesday it’s become standard practice for the RHD to take the reins on high-profile cases like this one, as they have the resources to diligently assure there are absolutely no irregularities in the mix. So as far as the PD is concerned, there still is no evidence of foul play — they’re just leaving final say up to the specialists.
As Perezcious readers know, Matthew was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi on Saturday after playing pickleball. He is believed to have gone into a cardiac arrest and died of drowning. Still such a difficult reality for so many of his fans loved ones to face, but nothing mysterious.
