Prince William andPrince Harry put their differences aside this morning as they walked together behind the Queen’s coffin as it made its journey from Westminster Hall to nearby Westminster Abbey.
The pair looked united in grief as they walked side-by-side behind their late grandmother's coffin for its final journey.
William was in full military uniform, as Prince Harry wore a morning suit.
In front of the two royals were the Queen's four children; King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
Like Harry, Prince Andrew was not wearing military uniform as neither are working royals.
Despite previously having a close relationship, the siblings’ bond has come under the spotlight in recent years following the Duke of Sussex’s move to America in 2020.
However, throughout the national period of mourning, the brothers have put on a united front when in public together.
Last week, the pairwalked in solidarity behind Her Majesty’s coffin as it made its previous journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.
Images of William and Harry walking behind the Queen’s coffin have proven to be a heartbreaking echo of the funeral of their mother, Princess Diana, for people across the globe.
Following her tragic death in 1997, 15 year old William and 12 year old Harry joined their father as they walked behind their beloved mother’s coffin.
As perThe Mirror, William said: “He told us yesterday had been particularly difficult and following the coffin had reminded him of his mother’s funeral, of Diana. He said it had been very difficult.”
They added: “I said your mother would be so proud of you and thank you for sharing your grief with us and he said, ‘I’m learning that she was everyone’s grandmother – the way people have reacted’.”
