Strictly Come Dancing release trailer for new series
Zara McDermott has revealed that fellow reality star boyfriend Sam Thompson is “not at all” worried about her Strictly debut.
Despite talk of the notorious Strictly curse circulating every year, she insisted Sam was feeling calm.
Asked at a roundtable event whether Sam was feeling “worried”, the 26-year-old declared: “No, no, not at all. I think that everyone on the show that’s got a partner is super supportive and everyone’s gonna be in the audience!”
Although Zara admitted to cheating on him four years ago, Sam recently declared that he’s put that “painful” ordeal behind him and isn’t expecting her to make the same mistake a second time.
Meanwhile, Zara has spoken of the fun and totally platonic relationships that she’s been building with fellow cast members, including the late Jade Goody’s son Bobby Brazier, who stars in EastEnders.

“All of us [have been] non-stop smiling, grinning from ear to ear, having the best time, all getting to know each other,” she enthused while reminiscing on their first day of rehearsals.
She revealed that she’s also been receiving motivating pep talks from Bobby, who has been in their group chat encouraging all the stars to keep fit in the lead-up to their show debuts.
“He’s been going, ‘Everybody do your stretches!'” she chuckled, while Bobby himself cheekily admitted he hadn’t been doing any at all.
“I don’t think that we will really understand fully what we’re getting into until we really get into training with one to one with our partner,” Zara continued.

“Right now, we’re doing the launch stuff… but I think the intensity is yet to come.”
Zara had previously cheated on Sam, but during an episode of the Staying Relevant podcast with Pete Wicks, the Made in Chelsea star explained that he’d forgiven her and the pair had put the past behind them.
“She was 22… so f****** young,” he told Pete, adding: “You know when you look at them and you go, ‘She ain’t going to do that again?’ I could see in her face.”
He concluded: “You’d be some w***** to have done it yourself and can’t forgive.”
Meanwhile, at the roundtables event, Zara explained that partners will be in the audience during the shows.
That said, Sam isn’t certain how many he’ll be able to experience, as he shared on his Hits Radio show that his ballroom-fanatic girlfriend has given “the majority” of her guest tickets to her parents.
“She only gets two tickets to go to the live shows and she’s already told me that she wants her parents to go to the majority of them so I’ll guess I’ll be standing outside,” he joked.
However, her loyal beau declared adamantly that no matter what, “I don’t care, I will be there.”
