Zoe Ball baffles with bikini selfie after taking time off Radio 2 for ‘work’

Zoe Ball reveals she’s missing three weeks of her radio show

Zoe Ball, 52, sparked a frenzy by posting bikini pictures to her Instagram feed, while insisting she is “working”, despite appearances suggesting otherwise.

It comes after the star announced she would be taking three weeks off from hosting her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show to work on a new ITV talent show.

The radio legend told listeners earlier this month that she was taking a three-week leave from The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show and that Gary Davies, 65, would be sitting in for her.

The Manchester-born DJ usually mans the Saturday evening Sounds of the 80s show, but has stepped in for Zoe while she’s away on business.

Zoe has since confirmed she is currently filming for the new ITV show, Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream.

In a new social media post, the presenter confirmed that she is currently out in Greece.

On Friday, she posted a series of envy-inducing images to her 670,000 Instagram followers with the tongue-in-cheek caption: “Working. Promise… #mammamia #ihaveadream.”

The photograph carousel featured a picture of Zoe basking in the Grecian sun in a turquoise bikini, a pair of oversized sunglasses and a wide-brimmed straw hat.

Another picture featured a classic Greek salad accompanied by pitta bread and a quick clip of some beachside flowers.

However, some of Zoe’s fans were still confused about her trip abroad being work-related.

After viewing the post, one fan wrote: “Looks tough. Hang on in there!”

Another said: “You said you were off for 3 weeks working on some TV program! Matt the window cleaner!”

A third sarcastically commented: “That work looks like hell, Zoe. How are you supposed to cope?”

On the flip side, many sent the Blackpool-born TV and radio star well wishes and hoped she was enjoying her downtime in the Grecian sunshine.

One of her followers wrote: “Working or not who cares. You are in Greece, soak it up. Have a fab time.”

Earlier this month, Zoe was announced as the host of the forthcoming Mamma Mia! talent series.

According to the Huffington Post, the show will feature eight episodes and will be filmed in Greece — where the 2008 movie was shot.

Zoe is set to sit on the judging panel alongside singer and podcaster Jessie Ware, comedian Alan Carr, West End superstar Samantha Barks and Amber Riley.

However, ITV is yet to reveal the airdate for the ABBA-themed talent show.
