When Hill House Home’s nap dress collection was launched by creative director Nell Diamond in the spring of 2019, it immediately went viral. Given that success, it was only a matter of time before spinoffs and variations on the signature Ellie silhouette dropped. Fortunately, that now includes swimwear equipped with the same recognizable flutter sleeve.
Diamond, 33, was sure to create suits that balance fashion and function, just like her inimitable dresses. The new swimwear line features a popular pool skirt, designed to cater to multiple activities including swim, tennis, and golf. Other standouts include the Rosie one-piece, a scoopback maillot with a square neckline and ruffle sleeves, and the Isla top and bottom high-waisted bottom, all of which will be offered year-round in fun, updated prints.
“In designing our swim line, we took into account the same things that I look for in clothing and to inform the rest of the Hill House collection,” Diamond told POPSUGAR. “I wanted to create bathing suits that were fun, flattering, and pretty. I have three children and can put on our swimwear and feel both like my best self and ready to take care of them — the same as how I feel in our Nap Dresses.”
All the pieces are produced in LA and crafted from recycled material: a sun-friendly Econyl fabric that has UPF 50+ protection and is sunscreen and chlorine stain safe. Sizes range from XS to XXL, and the highest priced product is the maillot at $125.
The POPSUGAR team got the chance to test drive the swimsuits in a variety of colors and prints, including the newly released gingham pattern. Keep scrolling to read five different reviews from editors.
