BARGAIN hunters will know that when a high street store announces they’re closing their branches for good, it can lead to huge reductions.
So when news of M&Co shutting 170 stores nationwide emerged, fans of the high street chain started to form an orderly queue to check out what they could get their hands on as they mourned one of their favourite stores.
And it wasn’t long before shoppers were telling each other about their amazing purchases and how much money they’d managed to save in the process.
One excited bargain hunter recently took to Facebook group Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK to share her – and how she’d saved herself a massive £130.
Attaching three images of a stylish burgundy real leather dress which also comes in black, she wrote: “Sad that M&Co is closing but for bargain hunters, it’s a delight.
“Got this Sonder real leather dress, £140 for £10.”

A second said: “Wow now that is a bargain.”
While others joined the conversation and said they “loved” the dress and would be keeping their eyes peeled on future shopping trips.

However, the Facebook user wasn’t the only one to have been thrilled with a new outfit from the brand previously known as Mackays.
Another similarly savvy shopper also posted on the group that she’d found two dresses hanging on the sale rack – and she couldn’t believe the price tags.
Posting the snaps of the little black dress and the silver sequin gown, she explained: “Sharing my happiness to get these dresses.
“The sequin dress was £89 and the black dress was £69 but both were on sale for £9 each.”
Again, others in the group were quick to congratulate her on find and said they wished they’d been as lucky.
One person wrote: “The sequin dress is stunning. What a find!”
Another added: “Beautiful, great bargains, well done.”
A third shopping fan said: “Omg well jelly, I soooo want that sparkly one.”
