WANT to wear your new boots but dread the blisters they might cause? Fashion fans have found the perfect solution – and it costs just £14.
Particularly popular within the punk and LGBTQ+ community, Dr. Martens have long been a staple in the fashion world – but those who own a freshly snapped up pair will be familiar with the pain it often causes at first.
Just like most sturdy boots and other footwear, Dr. Martens – also known as ''Docs'' – are notorious for being almost impossible to break in.
However, whilst savvy fashion fans have shared a number of top tips and tricks online, a new solution has taken the internet by storm – heel-cushion socks.
According to the innovator behind this genius buy by the brand Shezza, Tiffany Gil, she first came up with the idea after getting ''horrible blisters'' whilst trying to wear no other than… Doc Martens.
''It felt like a knife was digging into my Achilles heel. I would always get blisters and bloody heels after wearing them, even with thick socks.''

Desperate to find a way to break the boots in, the fashion fan turned to advice on social media – however, many of the hacks, for instance, hopping in the shower with her new Docs, just seemed ''silly''.
Then, an idea was born – making a sock with padding in the back, thick enough to prevent against any pair of shoes.
''I took a sewing class at a local junior college, Orange Coast College, where I successfully made my own ultra padded sock.
''From then on, I never got a blister again. It was so easy too! All I had to do is put on a sock. I knew that there were other people out there suffering how I had.
