AUTUMN is the ideal time to give your kitchen cupboards a bit of a refresh – the kids are back at school so you have a bit more time, and it means you’ll be a step ahead when it comes to getting your ducks in order for festive cooking.
But given pots and pans are hardly the most glamorous of purchases and can be pretty expensive, it can sometimes be tempting to push off the purchases and treat yourself to something a bit more flash.
However one eagle-eyed shopper has spotted a deal on kitchen essentials in Asda that’s simply too good to miss.
Writing in the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains, savvy shopper Esther told fellow members she was “delighted with my Asda bargains this morning”.
Esther then showed off her impressive hail of discount items, starting with the most impressive saving: a five-piece pan set originally priced at £60, which she picked up for a remarkable £21.50.
The set included three saucepans of varying sizes and two frying pans, all in a lush pastel green colour with expensive looking wooden candles.

The box also confirmed that the items came with a 15-year guarantee, meaning the supermarket would likely replace or refund any faulty items for over a decade.
Her next purchase was a set of three oven roaster dishes in a small, medium and large size.
They’d originally been priced at £12, but Esther managed to nab them for just £3.
She made the same saving on a pack of four uber-cute Winnie-the-Pooh mugs, also slashed from £12 down to £3.

Each mug is seemingly decorated with characters from the iconic children’s book, and they’d make a gorgeous gift for any ursine fans out there.
The canny customer also managed to pick up an easy-waste food caddy that’s perfect for capturing waste scraped straight from plates and features an adjustable air vent to reduce odour build-up.
The handy kitchen gadget was originally priced at £20, but had been slashed to just a fiver when Esther picked it up.
Her final bargain was on a pizza cutter, which she managed to bag for £2.25 – nearly £7 less than its £19 RPR.
Esther’s post sharing her haul racked up a massive 340 likes, with users flocking to praise her thrifty finds.
Judging by the comments, it appears the bargain savings are only currently available in some stores.
However customers have confirmed they’ve recently bagged similar deals on stellar kitchenware sets in Asda, so keep your eyes peeled for reductions.
