ANT infestations in the garden can put a stop to your summer fun.
Often, they slowly start to try and make their way inside the home in the search for sugar and other food.
But one gardening expert has revealed the four easy tricks to banish them for good, and there's one method that is totally free.
The gardening pros at Fantastic Gardeners shared the simple solutions to keep ants at bay.
They first recommended a free pest control trick by pouring boiling water over entrances of the nest.
This can be done repeatedly until all of the ants are dead.

The experts told the Express: "When it comes to ant infestations, it’s never about simply sporadically spraying their seemingly endless trails with an ant killer weapon of your choice.
“No, to eradicate the entire ant infestation in your garden, you have to go straight for the source. The following methods have been proven to eliminate ants both outside and inside the ant nest.”
Another cheap method to banish ants was to to mix washing up liquid and oil together with water.
Mix half a teaspoon of soap and one and a half teaspoons of oil together with one litre of water in a spray bottle.

The solution will suffocate ants outside of the nest when sprayed directly on them.
You can then use the rest of the solution to pour into the nest to eradicate the infestation.
White vinegar is often used for cleaning hacks around the house but is also nifty for sorting out ants.
You can pour white vinegar directly into the nest to kill them on contact.
Finally, the experts revealed a mixture of baking soda and sugar is the most 'effective home remedy' as it draws all the ants into the trap.
Not only will the ants come and eat the baking soda and sugar mix, they will also bring it back to the nest and the baking soda will get to work killing them.
To make the remedy, mix baking soda with sugar until it turns into a paste and then place small amounts of the paste around the entrances to the ant nest.
