The experts then launched into why they thought that using a bowl was one of the most underrated but effective hacks – and cost you absolutely nothing.
Lifting the lid on the tried and tested method, they suggested taking the oven-proof bowl and filling it with hot water.
Once this is done, they said to place it inside the oven one you’ve finished using it to cook dinner.
Simply turn up the temperature dial and allow the water to work its magic as the steam that evaporates works on the grime build-up in the appliance.
The task usually ends up being tougher and more frustrating than it needs to be
Oven Pride suggests that the optimum time period is between 20 minutes to one hour and then turning the oven off and allowing it to cool.
In their own words, they said: “As soon as you’ve finished using the oven, a great tip is to put a heat-resistant bowl of water inside.
“Heat it at a high temperature for 20 minutes so it can loosen dirt and grease.”
“Once the time has elapsed, remove the bowl, wait for the oven to cool down completely and wipe down the surfaces with paper towels.”
The hack has previously done the rounds on social media – and it’s certainly impressed, especially those on Facebook group Mums Who Clean.
