CHEFS at Planet Food have shared their ultimate recipe for Nando’s-style burgers at home – complete with iconic Portuguese roll.
The main difference is that the social media chefs shredded their chicken breast before slapping it inside the roll.
“Looking for a perfect weeknight warmer, we’ve got you covered with our Nando’s Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken,” Planet Food penned in the caption.
“Just pop it on before work and come home to melt in your mouth peri peri chicken.
“You have to try this!”
They created enough to serve four people, but the ingredients could be halved or quartered for smaller portions.

For the full portion, you’ll need four chicken breasts, two tablespoons of peri peri seasoning and 100ml of Nando’s or peri peri sauce.
You’ll also need a tin of chopped tomatoes, a chicken stock cube, 50g of cream cheese and four cloves of garlic.
The chefs said to start the recipe by putting all of the ingredients in your slow cooker.
“Stir well, put the lid on and cook on high for four hours or low for six to eight hours,” they said.

You can shred the chicken in the slow cooker with forks, as it’ll be tender enough to fall apart.
