A WOMAN took to Facebook to ask a group filled with strangers if they would stump up the cash for her dog's birthday party as she was keen to mark the occasion but didn't have the money.
After requesting £200, the cheeky pooch owner received just £55 and complained that this wouldn't cover the costs of the event.
The woman logged into a "generous" group on Facebook and explained that the pandemic had left her struggling to make ends meet.
She requested that members chip in so she could splash out £200 on the puppy's party, but things took a turn when she went back to thank them for their giving.
She said: "Damn I really wish I got more. I'm super grateful for what I got 100 per cent but I only got £55 out of what I needed".
She rounded off the message with a sad broken heart emoji.

Unimpressed with the turn of events, a group admin said: "This is extremely not allowed. This is guilt posting and VERY against the rules and fundamentals of our group.
"I'm muting you for seven days and turning your comments off. Message the Modmin Team Page with any questions."
But the measure of turning the comments off didn't stop people from having their say as the conversation was screengrabbed and uploaded to Reddit.
The Redditor who started the thread about the cheeky cash request, said in their comment: "Imagine asking people in a generous group for £200 to throw your dog a birthday party and having people go out of their way to give you money and you post this?

A third said: "If by super grateful, this person actually means 'super ungrateful', then yeah, she's super grateful alright."
