A TIKTOKER has revealed a curious discovery in the floor of her old house, which was thought to have been built in 1935.
The home renovation pro said the find in her basement made her question everything she thought she knew about her home.
Ana (@anasadventure) on TikTok shared a video of the discovery to the social media platform.
"Just discovered this on the basement floor," read the text.
The floor had an engraving on it, faintly reading: "Dec. 16, 1924 by J. H. Hale & Co."
"We were told the house was built in 1935," she added.
The basement floor discovery attracted many viewers who shared their theories in the comment section.
"My grandparents neighbors had this too. Turned out the records had been messed up somehow. Their whole neighborhood had mafia ties," one wrote.
"Oh man," Ana replied. "There are other odd areas in the basement where it looks like something could’ve been buried. LOL I think it had to do with plumbing."
"Wow that's interesting," another added. "Can you check with the register of deeds?"

"Going to get on that," Ana wrote back.
"Someone’s birthday?" a third guessed.
"Lol, I wonder," Ana responded. "A local historian that came in, thought that maybe this house was built before 1935. But, this whole area started development then."
Replying to another comment regarding the birthday theory, Ana shut it down, saying: "I just the more I think about it, I don’t think it’s a birthday.
"Because it says 'by,' like something happened on that date by that person."
"We were told that our's was built in 1920, but records show it back to 1913 at least. Ran out of time before I could do more research," one more wrote.
