A MAN has revealed that he completely transformed his garden by making his very own pergola.
So if your outdoor space needs some TLC and you aren’t sure where to start, you’ll need to listen up and take notes.
Posting on TikTok, the DIY whizz documented how he created his own pergola from scratch.
Known on social media as ‘Green Fingered City Boy’ the self-proclaimed gardening enthusiast, from Nottingham, shared his step-by-step advice on how to build a pergola.
He said: “Building a pergola for my garden.”
The man demonstrated the process and gathered his wooden beams together.

To start he: “Screwed the brackets into place and then started to assemble.”
He then: “Screwed the beams into the brackets.”
Following this, the man noted: “We assembled upside down and then got help to get it into place, so we could properly get an idea of post locations.”
Once this was done, the man continued: “Dug holes for post spikes and put them into place – important to use a level when doing this.”

The DIY fan then showed off his finished pergola, as he claimed: “I think you’ll agree it has totally transformed the space.”
The man then explained: “I’m struggling to decide on what climbers to plant?”, encouraging social media users to share their recommendations.
The man’s clip has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 122,600 views in just two days.
It has 1,445 likes, 40 comments, 353 saves and 137 shares.
