I get trolled and called insecure for the strict rules I have for my husband but I think it’s best for my marriage | The Sun

ONE couple's controversial marriage rules have earned quite a lot of backlash on social media.

Kiarra Hillman and her husband, Nate, get called insecure for the incredibly strict boundaries and bans they have in their marriage.

Hillman posted a TikTok listing the strict rules that she and her husband have set in their marriage.

She captioned her video: "Some may disagree, but you gotta do what's best for your marriage."

On the screen, Hillman cuddles with her husband as their rules appear as text around them.

The first rule read: "Free time is first given to each other before anyone else."

"Life goals are made together. Careers. kids. Homes," she continued.

Hillman also thinks that any large expenses should be discussed before purchasing.

In addition, she doesn't believe in someone "wearing the pants in a relationship."

"We are equal partners. No single person 'wears the pants' in our
relationship. We work together," she wrote in her video.

The couple also says "I love you" before bed every night, no matter what.

If there ever comes a problem that needs additional help, Hillman seeks marriage counseling.

"We will seek counseling & always fight for our marriage when things are hard."

While many people agreed that most of the rules are reasonable, there was one rule that most took issue with.

"We don't speak to (texts, dms, etc) or hang out w/ the opposite sex privately," Hillman wrote.

People in the comments thought Hillman was simply insecure.

"Sorry but the texting one comes off super insecure. just say you can’t trust each other," a TikTok user said.

"Trust issues has entered the chat…….." another person said.

On the other hand, some people thought otherwise.
