I got my brows laminated and now I'm a walking jump scare – people have made up the worst nickname for me | The Sun

A WOMAN has been given a hilarious nickname after her eyebrow lamination went horribly wrong.

Ally Long called her new look a “jump scare” thanks to her brows doubling in thickness.

The 20-year-old took to Tik Tok in the car straight after her appointment to share – and laugh at – her experience.

But people were quick to give her the cruel nickname of Ally Longbrows, owing to the length of each individual brow strand stuck upwards on her face.

Ally started the video by covering her eyebrows with her hand and prefacing their revelation.

She said: “Okay, I just got my eyebrows laminated and tinted.

She exclaimed: “What?

Ally’s brows were notably darker than her blonde hair, and each strand stood upright on her face.

She joked in the caption: “They're gonna get better, but talk about a jump scare.”

Brow lamination is a perm for the eyebrows.

It uses chemicals to change hair texture so that the strands can be manipulated into a certain shape.

The treatment has been hailed by people with sparse, irregular growing and thin brows as the ultimate solution for a fluffier and groomed look.

It involves two solutions – the first is brushed through the brow to make them softer and more malleable, while the second solution “laminates” them into a desired position.

However, as Ally discovered, it might not always go perfectly… and you may be given an unfavourable nickname.

People also accused Ally’s technician of doing an unprofessional job.
