A SAVVY shopper has revealed how he managed to spend just £5 on a whopping 35 cleaning items.
Stuart Ford explained that he discovered a website that sells everything from household, baby and beauty products to food, pets and stationary items.
The catch? The clue is in the name as the Best Before It’s Gone website only sells things that are “nearing or past their best before dates”.
The penny pinching shopper didn’t mind though and took to Facebook’s Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group to share the massive box he got delivered.
He bought 12 bottles of Clean & Clear’s natural bright gentle daily wash, four bottles of Boro Plus skin care cream, three Carex hand wash bottles, two bottles of Air Wick Aqua mist, several packets of disposable hand gloves and more.
In the caption, he explained: “All this from the best before it’s gone site. I spent £5 on these 35 items. It was £6 delivery so for £11 I tried it.”

He went on to share that while most of the products he purchased were for cleaning or hygiene purposes, he did buy one that falls into the food category.
“Only thing I purchased that was food was the Waitrose sauce for kids ice cream,” he said. “Rest was cleaning stuff ranging from 5p each to 40p each, it came 5 days after ordering.
“The clean and clear daily was 50p for a box of 12. My 35 items ( a hair is hiding for anyone that counts 34)”.
People were quick to comment on Stuart’s post with many in awe of his find and racing to check out what else is available on the budget website.
