A WOMAN who had the excess fat surgically removed her cheeks has been left so swollen she looks like a "chipmunk".
Regan Ellis has been keeping her TikTok fans updated about her Buccal Fat Removal, and assured them that the amount of swelling is completely normal following the procedure.
"I really suffer with excess cheek fat," she said.
"I know from the outside it may not look like that but I get loads on the inside of my cheek, so when I bite down I end up using down on that fat on the inside and giving myself blood blisters, stuff like that.
"And also where I’ve lost quite a lot of weight, I actually haven’t lost a lot of my face.
"You’re probably looking at me going, ‘Oh you f**king idiot, there’s nothing wrong with ya.’

"But it’s one of those things where you’re constantly looking in the mirror and it’s actually something that bothers me."
The procedure itself is done under local anaesthetic, and a small incision is made on the inside of the cheek, through which the fat is removed.
While she didn't show the procedure itself on her TikTok page, she did film herself the morning after, as she said: "I’m very very swollen, like ridiculously swollen.
"I feel like I look like a Lego brick.

"But the procedure itself was completely painless.
"It hurt more having my composites done.
"That’s how painless it was.
"I genuinely can’t believe how much they took out of my cheeks. I felt like I was looking at streaks of bacon."
The next update Regan offered was two days later, as she said: "The swelling is unreal.
"It is quite painful, I won’t ever lie to you guys, the pain is quite significant. But it’s bearable.
"So I've just had heat and ice on it.
"This side is going down quite nicely but this one is still quite swollen.
"I look like a chipmunk who's just harvested those f**king nuts in its mouth."
Regan added that she's been taking antibiotics after the procedure, as well as painkillers every four hours, and has been washing her mouth with mouthwash after she eats something.
