DRESSING to flatter a larger chest is complicated, especially when you want to stay on-trend.
One fashion influencer revealed the stylish tops she never wears and the substitutes she swaps them for instead.
Sporting a larger chest herself, TikTok star Monika Mancini said that she's made plenty of fashion mistakes over the years.
In a video, she shared three styles of shirt she skips every time, but gave her viewers advice on more fitting options to wear.
"Avoid tops with ruffles in the chest area," Mancini began.
Though you might hope the accents have a minimizing effect, ruffles can actually "make your chest look 10 times bigger," she warned.

Instead, Mancini recommended, choose a top with detailed puffy sleeves. The sleeves add detail while drawing attention away from your chest.
If puffy sleeves aren't your favorite, you can look for bell or peasant sleeves instead. "Wrap tops with bigger sleeves are much more flattering," Mancini added.
"Next, try avoiding tops with high necklines," the TikTok star recommended. Yes, high-neck tops cover cleavage and keep you modest, but you'll be sacrificing the rest of your silhouette.
"They create a boxy frame and hide your waistline," Mancini explained. Swap your high necklines for a layered look, she recommended.

"I prefer boxy blazers with a fitted top underneath," Mancini said. "It really helps to tone down the bust area and still show off your curves."
She modeled a square-shoulded blazer with a plain cropped shirt underneath, showcasing the versatile style.
Finally, Mancini revealed the clever swap she makes instead of trying to cram her chest into a popular style that leaves her miserable.
"Tube tops are very trendy, but they offer zero support," she said.
Even if you find tube tops you like, if you choose to wear them outside the house, "you'll probably be pulling them up for the majority of the day," Mancini said.

Putting on a one-shoulder, fitted shirt, Mancini explained that she found the style to be a perfect way to achieve a casual look without being uncomfortable all day.
