A MUM-TO-BE selected her ideal name for her baby boy only for it to be slammed by other parents.
The woman took to Mumsnet to ask for advice about the ideal spelling for the unique moniker but got a surprising response.
One person said it sounded like a rapper's name and many advised against using it.
The mum-to-be said: "Jaze or Jayze? To be pronounced to rhyme with maze?
"I prefer Jaze as it's simpler but my [partner] thinks Jayze looks more solid as a name.
"We don't like traditional names so James is off the menu. We liked Jay but it's a bit overdone and more boring."
