BUYING a new home can come with some surprises, but none more than what one owner found in her bathroom.
TikTok user Hannah, who runs a page called The Otto House, bought a home to renovate and discovered a big surprise behind an old shower.
Millions of people have followed her quest to find what treasures lie buried behind her plumbing, and they weren’t disappointed.
In a recent video, Hannah explained: “I took the tiles off our leaking shower and look what I found behind…”
Midway through her bathroom glow up, Hannah began filming.
At first, viewers see the wall-mounted shower sat flush against plasterboard and old tile grout.

Hannah pans the camera away from the shower and towards a big hole in the wall, revealing a dark space behind. But where does it go?
“Look what I found behind,” she teases. “A whole other layer of tile.
“I had to remove the wood because as you can see, they’re covered in black mould and wait, what is that?”
Viewers watch on as Hannah is seen standing on a chair, peering through to the other side of the wall.

“A mirror and some more tile. So we’ve got mirror and tile behind a shower and tile, behind what was a shower and tile.”
Hannah’s followers were completely stunned by her discovery and took to the comments to share their surprise.
“Russian doll bathroom,” stated one user.
“It’s like inception but for bathrooms,” replied another.
Hannah responded: “Absolutely! And I haven’t even finished taking off all the layers yet.”
Hannah’s not the only new homeowner who’s discovered a few surprises behind her walls.
Another user called Teresa revealed: “I reno’d a 100 year old house and there were 11 layers of flooring in the kitchen.”
Hannah replied: “Oh wow, and I thought we had it bad with wooden floorboards on top of carpet downstairs.”
In later videos, Hannah is seen pulling down more walls in her bathroom and chipping the newly revealed tiles off the wall.
