I was fed up of my dull office wall so gave it a makeover for just £15 – and you don't need any fancy tools either | The Sun

A CRAFTY DIY fan has shared how she gave her boring office a glow-up without forking out a fortune.

When it comes to home transformation projects, we typically imagine having to spend thousands upon thousands – but Lauren Nicole (@theloloshow__), from the US, proved you don't need to waste heaps of money.

The mum claimed she managed to give her dull wall a whole new look, spending just £15 in the process.

The best part? Not only was the project inexpensive, but she also didn't use any fancy tools.

Lauren, who shared the Before and After on TikTok, used nothing but painters' tape, paint and a sponge.

''I made 10×10 squares with the tape and dipped the sponge in the paint for the design,'' the craft lover demonstrated in the clip.

For the design, Lauren went with three vertical stripes in one square and followed it by the same amount of horizontal stripes placed in the next one.

To complete the makeover, she also added three leaf posters on the wall for a more cohesive bohemian aesthetic.

Stunned by how good it had turned out, Lauren told her followers: ''If you’re looking for a super easy and affordable accent wall I highly recommend!!

''I’m obsessed with how this turned out.''

On the lookout for more affordable DIY projects?

Well, one mum recently revealed how she made a dressing table using bargains buys from B&M.

After moving her house, mum Chloe Horsley (@chloandarchie) didn't have enough space for a big dressing table, so she decided to get crafty and put together her own.

''I could've got a narrow one but to get the narrow one I want was gonna cost so much money.

''And even then it would've been a squeeze to get it in the gap that I needed it to be in,'' Chloe told her 30.7k fans in the video.

Instead, the DIY fan checked out what's available in her local B&M and managed to find a couple of bargains.

Whilst shopping in the store, she picked up a stunning mirror for £20, a fake plant for £8, a scented candle that cost her £3, two storage baskets which retailed for £4 each, as well as two white shelves for the base.

''All of this cost me less than £100 to do,'' the mum claimed.

In total, the process, including drilling the walls, took her around an hour, although putting the mirror felt a little bit ''fiddly''.

''I found these two little baskets and I thought they're absolutely perfect for this.
