A FITNESS lover has shared some of the negative comments she's received while working at the gym.
A male critic even told her to stop lifting weights because her body is "thick enough."
Powerlifting enthusiast Elle Clark (@elleclark_themuse) is no stranger to unsettling comments while exercising.
In an Instagram Reel, she shared an interaction with a man from about a year ago who offered "unsolicited bigoted advice."
"That time a stranger in the gym told me I was big enough and to stop lifting heavy weights," a subtitle read at the start of the video.
He approached her and made unwarranted remarks such as "anything more than ten pounds is no good" and to "stop lifting heavy."
"Being trolled online is one thing but being trolled in person is wild lol," she added in the video caption.
The fellow gymgoer spoke to her for a while.
"I'm keeping it one hundred with you. Only a dumba** trainer will tell you to squat with weights. You should shoot him," he said.
He also talked about her figure and told her "You're thick enough."
