I was trolled over my daughter's name after having twins – there's a heartbreaking reason behind it | The Sun

A NEW mum of twins has explained the heartbreaking reason behind her daughter's name, as she hit back at online trolls.

Lisa Marie-Thompson, 28, said she received criticism online, with commenters saying her little girl will be bullied over her "out-there" name.

Lisa, from Grimsby, Lincolnshire, explained that she called her new daughter Bluebelle in tribute to her last daughter, who she tragically lost during pregnancy.

She had planned to call the baby girl Bluebelle but the beloved girl was diagnosed with Anencephaly, an incurable illness where the skull does not for properly in the womb.

This meant that Lisa suffered the trauma of having to give birth to her baby after just four months of pregnancy.

The ordeal led her to call her new daughter, who the delighted mum described as her "second chance", by the same name in tribute to her lost sister.

Lisa said: "Obviously the comments were upsetting, but I don't get why people felt the need to say 'she'll suffer' because of the name I chose.

"She doesn't even know what bullying is yet and already people were telling her that's what would happen when she goes to school."

Adorable Bluebelle and her twin brother Edward are now three months old and doing well.

For Lisa and the family, continuing the tragically lost Bluebelle's memory is more important to them than any negative comment on social media.

Describing the pain of losing her child, she said: "I fell pregnant last year and everything was fine until the 12-week scan.

"Here, we were told she had a fatal birth defect which meant she wouldn't survive. The hardest part was telling my six-year-old old daughter Ivy-Jane."

The young girl was devastated as her mum explained: "She was so excited to have a baby sister and we had to tell her she was poorly and wouldn't be coming anymore.
