I worked in a pub for years – here's how to elevate your Sunday morning fry up and it'll be the best you've ever tasted | The Sun

A FOODIE and ex-pub server has revealed the top five tricks she picked up along the way for the perfect English fry up.

Laura, who lives in London, has worked in pubs for years.

In a recent TikTok video, posted to her account, Petal and Flour, she said: "five steps I would never miss when making a fry up.

"I've spent a fair few years of my life working in pubs serving up brunches, and these are a few tips and tricks I've learned along the way."

We all know fry ups are quite salty, so Laura has a great tip to add some sweetness to the dish.

She recommended rubbing mustard and honey on your sausages before roasting them.

Laura added: " I'm probably gonna lose a lot of people here, but roasted tomato on a fry up is a big yes from me.

"If you do like tomatoes on a fry up, add a bit of salt, pepper and sugar before roasting them.

"It caramelizes the top and keeps them all jammy inside."

To spice up your beans, and we mean literally, Laura recommends adding some smoked paprika, garlic, chilli and black pepper.

Laura suggested putting them into a preheated pan with no oil or butter to draw out the moisture.

She added: "Once they're golden brown I add a bit of butter, soy sauce, garlic and thyme."
