GOING to a car boot sale and getting a bargain is enough to put a smile on many of our faces.
But one woman was left thrilled when she bought a £2 toy from a car boot sale and was stunned when she Googled it and saw they were selling for hundreds of pounds on eBay.
Bargain hunter Gem, known on TikTok as ‘Plush Rush’ has 5,623 followers and 78.1k likes on the social media platform.
Gem likes to collect and rehome soft toys and has been reselling for seven years.
She regularly shares her car boot sale and charity shop bargain buys to TikTok and one of her latest finds left her absolutely stunned.
Gem recently went to a car boot sale and found a Build-a-Bear Springbok soft toy which she purchased for just £2.

She uploaded her video showing off her bargain buy to TikTok, with the caption ‘Can't believe how much this guy's worth! I had no idea.’
The reselling expert said: “I had no idea what this guy was worth until I got home.
“I just liked him as he’s an unusual BAB.
“I can’t believe it.

In the video we see Gem pick up the stuffed toy, as she asks the seller how much he is selling the item for, to which the seller says “£2”.

The seller explained: “He’s from South Africa, I did bring him all the way home.”
Gem responds with: “He’s lovely, I’ll take him”.
Not only was Gem impressed with the bargain buy, but she was even more stunned when she got home and searched how much they sell for on eBay.
The bargain hunter found on eBay that the ‘Build-a-Bear South Africa Springbok ultra exclusive’ plush toy had sold for £395 and there was another for sale for £598.67.
Gem explained: “I'll list him for £350 and see what happens”.
TikTok users were clearly stunned at Gem’s bargain buy as in just one day, her video has racked up 714.6k views.
It has 46.7k likes, 454 comments and 336 shares.
One person said: “Oh my god I have one of these in the loft!”
Another added: “Whoa!!! Are you going to sell him? I think I'd be tempted to keep it, he's so cute”.
