A SAVVY mum has revealed the easy five minute recipe her kids love and all you need is three ingredients.
Lindsy Trotter took to her social media channel to share the meal in a bid to make other busy mums’ lives easier.
Insinuating that she sometimes gets an express macaroni and cheese packet, she said: “We took a cue from easy mac and replaced them with wide egg noodles.”
She then placed a glass bowl on her granite counters as she instructed viewers to get a large one over a small one or “you’ll be mad at yourself” as it might boil over in the microwave.
“And by might I mean it will [boil over] if you use a small bowl,” she warned.
Pouring a cup of the noodles into the bowl she then added water “until just above the pasta line”.

“Shaking it around has nothing to do with it, don’t ask me why I did that,” she then joked as she placed the bowl into the microwave.
Lindsy, known as @chilledfreezermeals on TikTok, said the cook time is around five minutes, but may vary depending on the microwave and the amount of pasta you want to cook.
After checking that the pasta is cooked, she drained the excess water in the sink with a lid over the top.
“You can absolutely do this with a colander, but this is what I had,” she said.

Lindsy continued: “Next, we’re going to rinse the pasta. This is technically a step that you can skip, but if you don’t rinse it, it’s going to be pretty starchy.
“After a rinse, we drain it again.”
Explaining that this is “not pasta chef approved”, she then got a stick of butter and cut a piece with her fork before adding it into the bowl.
“Add a couple of slabs of butter and make sure that you make it 100 percent real butter, that’s where the good stuff is,” she said.
“And then let’s grind in some pink himalayan sea salt because let’s make it bougie,” she added as the video came to an end.
People were quick to comment on the recipe as one person said: “That with shaky parmesan is the best!”
Another wrote: “we do that too we also add a little bit of Italian seasoning or sometimes a little garlic ir just plain salt”. [sic]
A third claimed it would “taste much better with cheese” while a fourth added: “I loved this as a kid! I added grated Parmesan cheese while it was hot and it melted it, soo good.”
