DO you want to have an expensive-looking wardrobe but don’t want to spend a fortune to achieve it?
You may simply need to get down to your local charity shop.
A woman has shared 10 basic items you can pick up secondhand for a couple of quid which will instantly update your look and make you look more wealthy.
Charity shop pro Monica uploaded a video, saying: “You do not need to spend thousands to have an expensive-looking wardrobe.
“Over 90 per cent of what I own is secondhand.
“Here are 10 things to look out for in charity shops to look and feel expensive.”

First up was a striped jumper, with Monica explaining: “You can never go wrong with stripes, these are a royal favourite and so easy to find and decide.”
Next up was to find a quality blazer.
She added on her @themonicaway account: “Quality is key so look out for the fabric composition.”
Monica said the third item is to find “ballet flats”, saying: “ballet flats are back and they are so elegant and easy to wear, always make sure to check they are leather.”

Vintage jewellery was fourth on the list and said you can find “so many gems”.
Fifth was “leather bags” and you should keep your eyes peeled for “older bags which feature a leather body or trim.”

Elegant blouses were also a key find, as they are “easy to dress up or down” and they are “super elegant.”
Monica added that you should opt for cotton, silk or linen blouses and ones with a high neck or full sleeves are the best.
She added that the right blouse will make you always feel “put together.”
You should next look out for “anything cashmere” and the shopper claims “nothing says luxury like cashmere.”
Monica said you should also look for “desirable brands” and labels from the likes of Ralph Lauren, Moschino, Burberry, Abercrombie and Reiss.
Ninth on the list was “pearly jewellery” as it’s “timeless” and “easy to style.”

Finally, tan bags should be on your watch-list, and Monica said: “A high quality tan bag never goes out of style.
