A PROFESSIONAL cleaner has revealed that people always make a massive mistake when cleaning their loo.
So if you want your bathroom to sparkle and to ensure that there’s no nasty germs lurking around, you’ll need to listen up.
It turns out that many of us are making a big mistake which is accidentally transporting wee around our homes – yes, you heard that correctly.
A 24-year-old cleaner took to social media to share her advice, leaving many open-mouthed.
The cleaning whizz shared her simple housekeeping tip, as she warned people against using a mop around a toilet.
She claimed: “You should not use a mop around your toilets!!!”

Justifying why, the woman then confirmed that you should only use wipes, as she revealed:
“Disposable [wipes] only so you don’t have urine in your mop.”
The cleaner then used a wipe on the floor around the toilet, showing off not only the dust and dirt, but the urine stains too.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @theamateurcleaner, has clearly shocked many, as it was shared just two days ago, but has quickly amassed 166,500 views.

Many social media users agreed with the cleaner’s recommendation and were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Spot on!”
Another added: “I agree, I hand mop.”
A third commented: “I swear I want to barf when I see videos of people mopping around the toilet then using that mop head to do the rest of the bathroom.”
At the same time, someone else asked: “Who the hell is peeing on the floor?”
To this, the cleaning whizz replied: “90% of men!”
Meanwhile, another user claimed: “Everyone needs to understand pee and poo particles, when people flush it goes everywhere.”
Whilst another cleaning fan advised: “Disinfect your mop and always do bathrooms last.”
Not only has this cleaner warned against people using a mop by their toilet, but she previously revealed that you should also never use microfiber cloths around toilets either.
She wrote: “As a professional cleaner, you should NOT be using microfiber on clients’ toilets.
“It’s not sanitary.
“Most people are not okay with their cleaner using microfiber on toilets!”
Instead, the cleaning fan demonstrated how she makes toilets sparkle, in a much more hygienic way.
Using a toilet spray, the 24-year-old sprayed the product over the toilet and then added bleach inside the bowl.
Whilst wearing gloves, she then used a wipe to clean the area, rather than a microfiber cloth.
She also advised that you can use paper towels instead, as this is much more sanitary than cloths.
